Weekend Recap (9/14 thru 9/16)

I had Friday off last week, so my weekend started a day early!  Brennen slept in so I was able to get the house most of the way ready for the showing later in the afternoon.

Brennen enjoying a bagel before heading to Grandma & Grandpa's!
My mom had a birthday party for a few family friend's kids during the day.  It was so great to get all the kids together and be able to spend time together!

After everyone left, we headed back home to get the house ready for the showing.  It was so beautiful out that my mom and I decided to take the dogs and Brennen for a walk while my dad showed the house.

Our other babies, Kaiser & Jaxon
Daddy met us on the walk and helped Brennen walk the dogs!
My dad called while we were on the walk saying that the lady loved our house and wanted it!  She made us an offer that was lower than what we wanted to go, so we countered and she said she was going to go to the bank this week and see about getting approved.  So if everything works out, we may sell our house!  I am trying not to get my hopes up, but I really can't help it.  We need more room ASAP!! I'll keep you updated on what happens.  Hopefully, I will have some good news later this week :)

That night we had dinner plans with our friends Andrew & Amber.  They have an adorable little girl, Emery, who is 3 weeks younger than Brennen.  Amber fixed pepper jack, green apple, bacon & avocado grilled cheese sandwiches.  They were awesome!! Amber is one of my friends who encouraged me to start a blog. She is also one of the most creative people I know!  Her blog, i thought of it second, is so much fun to read and I recommend you go check it out for yourself!

Emery & Brennen
Brennen trying out Emery's sunglasses. I showed this picture to Emery after I took it and she let out the cutest little giggle.  She thought he looked pretty funny in her glasses!
It took Brennen quite a while to warm up to this tunnel. He had to watch Emery go through it a few times before he got the courage to do it.  Then he crawled like a maniac to get out of it as fast as he could.
Saturday Ryan had another cross county meet so my mom, my brother Chris and I decided to take Brennen out to the Louisberg Cider Mill.  It turned out to be a pretty cloudy day, so it wasn't very crowded at all.  We took a hay ride, went through the corn maze and let Brennen play.  He loved being outside!

Sunday we had friends over to watch the Chiefs game.  There wasn't much of a game to watch, but it was nice having everyone over.  Brennen got to play with Harper again and this time I made sure to take pictures!

Holding hands :)

I told Brennen to sit next to Harper so I could take their picture, and this is what he did. Too sweet!
Ryan went to play football with all of the guys after the game, so Brennen and I headed to Antioch Park to play and walk around the pond.  He is such a fun boy!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am already looking forward to Friday at 5!

Weekly iPhone Recap (9/10 thru 9/14)

Better late than never, here is last weeks recap!

I really slacked on taking pictures this week.  We had a pretty crazy few days, so the only nights I have pics from are Monday & Thursday.

Monday night we went to dinner with our friends Landon & Julia. We needed to catch up with them since they were out of town last weekend and again this weekend :(

We went to the blanc burgers + bottles on the plaza.  It has a very modern feel and the food was pretty good.
We met my parents to pick up B on Monday night and this is how we find him when we pulled up. Waving and smiling out the sunroof!

We tried the Salmon, Inside Out, American Kobe & Bison burgers. We also tried the onion rings, sweet potato fries and regular fries.  It's kind of hard to see in the pic but they served the sides in cute little shopping carts.
For those of you that don't know, we are trying to sell our house.  We have had it up by owner since the end of March.  We had a handful of people come look and one girl who came and looked twice, but decided she wasn't interested. Other than that, not much luck.  So, Tuesday night we had a realtor come over who had come to look at the house the week before for one of her clients.  Her client was interested in looking at our house so there were some things she wanted to go over with us on Tuesday night and then on Wednesday night her client came to look.

For most people this wouldn't be a big deal.  Well, we have two big dogs that are very protective of their house and yard.  This means we have to take them to Ryan's parent's house when we have showings so they don't bark like crazy at these poor people and they can go in the backyard without getting licked!  So, both days Ryan had to get off work, take the dogs to his parent's house, come back to show the house, we would go get Brennen from my parents, pick the dogs up from Ryan's parent's then finally make it home.  Needless to say we didn't have much time at home either night.

Ryan said the first thing out of her client's mouth when they walked in was "wow, this is really nice"!  So let's hope he loved it and we will hear something soon!  Our fingers are crossed :)

Thursday night I met my mom at Walmart to do some shopping and pick Brennen up.

Having fun in the toy isle!

B was pretty excited about his cookie after dinner

Grandma got him some new KU pajamas

A little reading before bedtime!

Thursday night we got a call to have another showing Friday at 4, so it seems like the craziness isn't going to stop for the weekend either!

Weekend Wrap-up

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  We had a great weekend with lots of relaxing and some great family time.  Friday I only worked half a day and enjoyed a happy hour with Ryan and his co-workers. For those of you that don't know, Ryan is a teacher so it was great to see all the people I hadn't seen all summer!  I went to pick up Brennen from my parent's house and we went home to relax the rest of the evening.

Brennen enjoying an oreo for a treat!
I have had two over ripe bananas sitting on my counter for a week or so and I have been wanting to make something new for Brennen to have for breakfast.  He is at a really picky stage with not wanting to eat much right now.  I had pinned these Banana Oatmeal Muffins on Pinterest and decided to make them right when we got up on Saturday.

My adorable baking helper!

Well, after I put these in the oven, Brennen and I headed into the living room to watch some cartoons and play.  Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was on and that is Brennen's favorite show.  The timer for the muffins went off and I went in to check them and they needed a few more minutes.  Well, instead of setting the timer, I thought I would just go back in a few minutes and get them out.  Well, the hot dog dance came on and for those of you that don't watch Micky Mouse, that is a song and dance at the end of every episode and B's favorite part.  He starts swinging his arms around and dancing and it is really cute.  I had realized that I hadn't gotten my camera or the video camera out in awhile and thought this would be fun to catch on video.  Well, the next thing I knew, we were dancing and singing and this is what I finally ran into the kitchen to find...

Oops!  Mommy brain has taken over my life! But I have some great pictures and video of Brennen :) And of course, these were actually very tasty and Brennen even liked the few bites of the tops that I could salvage, so I will definitely be making these again soon!

Ryan had a cross country meet in the morning so my mom came over and we ran a few errands and took Brennen for a walk and to play at the park.

Ready for the walk
This boy LOVES the park! My parents and I usually meet at a park after I get off work, but we are going to have to change that if we can't play because he gets very upset and doesn't want to go in his car seat.
Brennen managed to bust his cut on his nose back open and did a face plant on the playground while running around. Poor baby :(
But that didn't keep him down at all. He was happy to hop in the swing!
Saturday night we went and had dinner with Dustin & Meg.  Brennen loved playing with Ramsey and following him around!  It is always so wonderful to spend time with them!

Sunday was another beautiful day that started out in the 50's so we took the dogs for a walk and stopped at the park for Brennen to play again.

I did some more baking and Brennen took a nap before getting ready to head over to our friends Matt & Rachel's house to watch the Chiefs game.  They have an adorable 6 month old little girl, Harper and I am so mad at myself for not getting any pictures of her and Brennen together :(

No new recipe...just chocolate chip cookies!
B in his Chiefs jersey on the way to watch the game.
This was the only picture I got of him, so next Sunday I will get a better picture of him in his jersey.

Sunday night we relaxed at home and made a last minute trip to Kohl's for some more work clothes for Ryan.  I fell in love with these shoes for Brennen but they are a little pricey.  I am just trying to decide if he will out grow them too quickly or if they are worth it.  What do you think?

Hope you all have a wonderful week!  I have Friday off this week, so only 3 more days and I get a 3 day weekend!!

Weekly iPhone Recap (9/3 thru 9/7)

Tuesday night Brennen & Daddy enjoyed a treat after dinner!

Cheers!

Wednesday was the official start of football season!

Thursday we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ryan's parent's house. Papa brought home a bowling set for the boys. When we first got there and set the pins up we told Brennen to throw the ball and knock them all down.  He did and when the pins fell over he started crying and saying "oh no"!  It was pretty funny. We tried to cheer and make it fun, but he was always still a little upset when they got knocked down. Such a funny boy!

I am only working a half day today then enjoying a happy hour with Ryan and his co-workers.  Should be a good time!

Cheers to a great weekend!!

Labor Day Weekend Wrap-up

Hope everyone had a great long weekend!

Brennen got to spend lots of time with Grandma & Grandpa. He spent the night with them both Friday and Sunday. Friday night Ryan had his fantasy football draft so some of the girls went out for a little while.

Saturday was a lazy day until we got last minute free tickets to the Royal's baseball game.  It was Brennen's first baseball game and he seemed to enjoy it.  We didn't spend too much time in our seats (which were actually great seats) because Brennen is at the go-non-stop stage!  He had a blast playing in the kid's zone and loved just running around the stadium.  We only stayed for about half the game since it didn't start until 6:40 and Brennen's bedtime is usually around 8:30 or 9.

He was exhausted!
Sunday morning we went for a walk and just relaxed until our friends Brandon & Stephanie's wedding.

Brittany, Tracy, Julia, Rachel & Meg
My younger brother Dustin
Meg & Dustin

Mike, Tracy & Ryan

This is how the rest of the night was...a blur!!

We had an absolute blast and are so happy for Brandon & Stephanie!!

Monday was pretty much spent recovering from the long weekend and doing some grocery shopping.
This was on the way home from picking Brennen up. He was being such a silly boy!
I was confused all day at work yesterday thinking it was Monday, so hopefully the week will fly by and the weekend will once again be here before we know it.  It is supposed to be beautiful and in the 70's both Saturday & Sunday, so hopefully we will be able to enjoy some outdoor activities!
