We headed down to the lake for Memorial Day weekend this year and had a wonderful time! The weather was looking to be a little "iffy" the days leading up to us going, but it all turned out to be better than we could have hoped for!
All loaded up and on our way! |

B wasn't too sure what to think about the fish but he asked to go fishing again, so I think he enjoyed it! |
Enjoying a donut at Grandma & Grandpa's house |
And can't have donuts without some chocolate milk! |
It was a little cloudy when we got up and it ended up pouring for about 5 minutes, but then it cleared out and was a gorgeous day! Ryan and I ended up meeting up with some friends for a few drinks and some lunch which was a blast! We got to cruise on their pontoon boat which was amazing. I could have stayed on that boat all day! I unfortunately didn't take any pictures...what was I thinking??
Brennen stayed back with Nana, Papa & Aunt Sarah and took a nice nap and a boat ride while we were gone. Ryan smoked some pulled pork so we played some games and enjoyed dinner and had so much fun!
We ended the day with a fire and s'mores...could it get much better?!?!
Sunday we went for a boat ride and hung out on the dock and relaxed most of the day. It was so nice to be away and enjoy ourselves so much!
We don't get service while at the lake, but I had to sneak away a few times to check my phone to see if we had any showings on the house. I was surprised to see 2 showings set up for Saturday, and 2 for Sunday! Turns out one of the people who came to look on Saturday returned for a 2nd showing on Sunday.
We got home Monday around 2:30pm and ate lunch and started unpacking when I got a call that we had another showing from 4:30-5:30pm that night. Ryan quickly mowed the lawn while I did a quick cleaning of the house and we were once again packed in the car with B and the two dogs. Not exactly what I was looking forward to doing that evening.
Spending some time at the park during the showing |
Long story short, it was the same person coming back for a 3rd showing and they stayed an hour past the scheduled showing time. So at 6:30pm we could finally go home! We were exhausted and all I was thinking was this better be worth it!
She did end up putting in an offer and we countered, but then we haven't heard anything. We don't really know what happened and our realtor said we should just move on. So, that is what we are doing...
so fun that both families have houses so close together at the lake!
