Ready for the Weekend

It has been kind of a long week. Ryan started not feeling very well on Sunday night and has only gotten worse as the week has gone by.  His allergies are driving him crazy!  I think it has to do with the weather going cold, then warm, then cold again and now it is supposed to be in the 70's all weekend and next week.  Crazy KS weather! 

I am really looking forward to enjoying the nice weather this weekend. We need to do some yard work and give the dogs baths.  They are WAY overdue.

Here are the highlights from this past week.

My mom sent me this picture on Tuesday after she drove by the park and Brennen started yelling "park, park" so she turned around and let him play.

This is how I spent Tuesday night. In the kitchen preparing to go visit Sheila & Kevin the next day. I made them cinnamon-sugar doughnut muffins, chocolate chip cookies, chicken taco soup and got them some fresh fruit.  They were very appreciative of my efforts :)



Wednesday morning Brennen had his 18 month check up and then we headed out to go see Sheila, Kevin & Shane.

We made a stop at Buy Buy Baby on the way and B had to take a ride through the store!

I didn't want to give him up. He fell asleep in my arms twice while we were there.

Thursday night we were supposed to go to Ryan's parent's house for dinner. Ryan wasn't feeling very well so left work early and spent the afternoon in bed.  When I called Lisa to tell her it might just be Brennen and I coming, she said that Ryan had to come. I wasn't sure what was going on, but Ryan instantly perked up when he saw the surprise...

Ryan finished his Masters this Summer and his parents wanted to get him a gift.  He has been wanting a smoker for quite some time now and he wasn't expecting them to get it for him, but they did!

Here was Brennen's help...taking care of the bubble wrap!

We can't wait to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend and try out the new smoker!!
